LT-Prost-T is a combination therapy designed for patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension who require more aggressive pressure management than a single medication can provide. It combines Latanoprost, which improves the outflow of fluid from the eye, with Timolol, a beta-blocker that reduces the production of fluid within the eye. This “double action” is highly effective at lowering intraocular pressure to safe levels, thereby protecting the optic nerve from permanent damage. It is usually applied once daily, typically in the evening. Patients with asthma or certain heart conditions should inform their doctor before using this, as the Timolol component can sometimes affect heart rate or breathing.
