Dornext is an ophthalmic solution primarily used to treat high pressure inside the eye caused by open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. The active ingredient, Dorzolamide, is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor. It works by decreasing the amount of fluid (aqueous humor) produced within the eye, which effectively lowers the intraocular pressure. Reducing this pressure is critical to prevent damage to the optic nerve and potential vision loss. Benzalkonium Chloride is added as a preservative. This medication is for topical use only and should be used exactly as directed by an ophthalmologist.
