Description
LT-Prost is a prostaglandin analogue used to lower high pressure inside the eye (intraocular pressure) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. Latanoprost works by increasing the natural drainage of fluid (aqueous humor) from the eye through the uveoscleral pathway. By reducing this pressure, it prevents potential damage to the optic nerve. It is usually applied once daily, preferably in the evening for maximum effectiveness. Patients should be aware that it may slowly cause a permanent change in eye color (increasing brown pigment) or thickening of eyelashes. Continuous medical supervision is necessary to monitor the eye’s response to the treatment.
